For years now I have been trying (key word TRYING) to maintain a journal of my day-to-day experience. I have been a bit unsuccessful with regards to consistency. My thoughts are too many and come too fast, making them difficult to document. Plus they are a bit zanny and I would want nothing more than to share them with others. So hence I begin this blog.
For those who don't know me, I am first and foremost a mom. My daughters are my life. They are adorable and great because they provide me with inspiration to follow my dreams. Cheesy as it may sound, they make me want to be a better person. They are also wonderful in that they allow me several moments a day to collect my thoughts and have a creative outlet.
28 years old living in Perth. I studied Communications at the University of Ottawa.
I left with a degree in my hand, top of my class and no real technical or true college experience. I ended up working several crap jobs: retail, real estate agent assistant. Then I worked for a mailroom. Most of my jobs were "in-betweens" - something to pass the time and pay the bills until I figured out what I really wanted to do. And let me tell you there have been many a thoughts in my head: biomedical engineer, journalist, public relations, artist. But mostly, ever since I saw my first Fashion File with Jeanne, I knew I wanted to be in the world of fashion. While at the lawfirm I applied to the Fashion Communications program at Ryerson and actually got accepted. However, I decided that I wasn't really keen on doing another degree. If I was going to be successful I was going to do it myself. Plus I FELL IN LOVE. It was never a compromise: Love or learning. It was just a great choice.
Fast forward 5 years later and I am a stay-at-home mom obsessed with writing my daughters blog, vintage, cupcakes, crafting, designing, reading and veganing. So let the BLOGGING BEGIN.
